What we collect

Our waitlist questions ask about caring and breaks, not about anyone's health. Please don't include health details about yourself or the person you care for in free-text messages.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run the website: our hosting and email provider [Hostinger International Ltd]; postcodes.io, which receives the postcode you type when you use the postcode finder; and Google, which receives the words you type into the address search so it can suggest matching addresses. We will not pass your details to care providers, councils or employers without your agreement.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details: until launch plus 24 months, or until you ask us to remove them. Messages: up to 24 months. Email verification codes: up to 24 hours.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@carercover.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Where it's stored
Your information is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider [in the UK or EU — confirm with Hostinger]. Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
