About us
Every carer deserves a break that actually happens
Carer Cover exists because carers are told they need a break, then left to find cover on their own. We make the break simple to book and safe to take.

Why we started
Millions of people in the UK look after a parent, partner or child without pay. Most say they can't take a break, not because no help exists, but because arranging it means phoning round care homes, filling in forms and worrying about who will turn up.
The money for breaks often exists too, in council budgets, carers' direct payments and family savings. What's missing is a simple way to turn it into a booked, trusted break.
How we work
- We arrange, registered providers care. Care is delivered and supervised by care homes, day services and home-care agencies registered with the CQC and rated Good or Outstanding.
- A real person helps. Our coordinators match each request and stay in touch before and after the break.
- We start local. We're launching in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, working with local carers' groups, care providers and councils.
What we believe
- Carers' wellbeing matters as much as the care they give.
- The person being cared for should feel safe, known and respected.
- Prices and terms should be clear before anyone books.
